  • Payment Information: When you make a purchase, payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.
  • Collaborator Information: If you invite others to contribute to your story, we collect their email addresses (if provided) and their contributions.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: We use our internal analytics service to understand how visitors use our site. For visitors who are not logged in, this data is aggregated and does not include personal identifiers. For logged-in users, analytics data is associated with your account (via email address) to help us improve your experience and our services.
  • Session Information: We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.
  • Email Campaign Tracking: If you arrive at our site from a marketing email, we may track that visit to measure campaign effectiveness.

Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: We retain your account information and story content for as long as your account is active.
  • Inactive Accounts: If your account has no activity for one year, we may delete your story content and media files. We will attempt to notify you before deletion.
  • Unverified Accounts: Accounts that are not verified within 7 days of registration are automatically deleted.
  • Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, we retain your data for 30 days (in case you change your mind), after which it is permanently deleted.

Cookies and Tracking

We use only essential cookies required to operate our service:

  • Session Cookie: Maintains your login state and security tokens. This cookie expires when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity.
